Business Systems Analyst

Requirements:

  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Gather the business requirements by working with internal resources
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions
  • Develop and implement new or enhanced business systems and processes to leverage investment in Infor Lx
  • Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Plan and support a smooth implementation of systems
  • Program solutions as required with quality testing
  • Meet regularly with project team members
  • Collaborate with other analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications
  • Implement, train users in new tools
  • Coordinate the efforts of others by acting as the liaison between various functional groups
  • Document new systems and processes both, for end user and technical reference
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization
  • Create system design proposals
  • Perform analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems
  • Develop Technical Specifications
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a university degree in computer science or a college diploma in computer systems technology.
  • Five to seven years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment, with an AS/400 platform, in a systems design capacity.  Experience with Infor Lx (BPCS) is required.
  • RPGILE  programmer
  • Knowledge of AS/400 and Infor Lx  software
  • Knowledge of principles and methodologies for project management, systems analysis. PMP is an asset
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of key business processes such as supply chain management, inventory management, MRP, shop floor control, etc
  • Programming skills required: RPGILE, SQL,  Excel VBA, Data manipulation tools
  • Knowledge of RF warehouse systems an asset
  • Strong Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools (Cognos)  is an asset
  • Knowledge of computer hardware at both, the PC and AS/400 platform level.   Basic knowledge of networking concepts is an asset
  • Knowledge of EDI, Innovis an asset
  • Programming skills in .NET, Visual Studio and, websphere an asset
  • Knowledge of Shop Floor Data collections systems an asset
  • Knowledge of Workflow /EPak is an asset

Operations Support Specialist

This position has responsibility for assisting in the operational control of the Company’s Eagle PACE'Portfolio Management System. This includes monitoring and maintaining: data inputs from external sources, data exports to external systems, and generating reports to monitor the accuracy and completeness of the data.

Requirements:

  • Data receipt and loading: assisting the Investment Applications Analysts in receiving data files, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data, monitoring the data loading process, investigating data errors and warning messages.
  • Data Quality: analyzing report outputs for accuracy; identifying and resolving issues, including following up with the external data providers. Detecting and implementing solutions to complex data integrity issues with suppliers of data.
  • Data Maintenance: manual changes to Eagle PACE data as directed.
  • Assisting Senior Investment Application Analysts as required in the implementation and testing of new systems as well as upgrades and changes to applications.
  • Responding to queries and questions from other users.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Knowledge of database systems operations, spreadsheet applications, language and products designed to resolve complex data problems. Sound understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Experience with SQL Server or Oracle-based databases.
  • Experience using SQL, FTP and scripting languages (MS Windows batch commands).
  • Familiarity with investment reference and market data.
  • Programming experience desirable (Perl, PLlSQL, Visual Basic).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and good written communication.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) desirable.
  • Organization skills in order to balance workload and set priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external data providers, including the custodian bank as well as internal investment staff and technical personnel at the Company.

ERP BPI Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Review and support enhancement of all key business processes as part of the ERP re-implementation
  • Analyze information provided on the functional requirements of the ERP system
  • Communication
    • Produce weekly activity summaries detailing implementation progress
    • Conduct project communication meetings and prepare/present presentations
    • Escalate issues to CFO
  • Documentation
    • Create documentation, forms, manuals, reports, and procedures
    • Document roles for all functions within the ERP environment.
  • Training
    • Lead and mentor as required all project team members on ERP implementation
    • Establish and maintain successful partnership with all team members
    • Initiate training of staff on ERP system use and implementation
  • Management
    • Define and ensure project resource requirements are staffed appropriately
    • Manage project resource participation and effective contribution keeping within budget, timelines and scope
    • Manage and document project issues and risk mitigation through resolution
    • Coordinate development, testing, and deployment of ERP re-implementation
    • Liaise between production, sales and finance to ensure that the ERP system captures appropriate business processes and reporting.​  Manage change of all processes as required
    • Initiate and monitor project risk management procedures
    • Monitor overall project resources and budget
    • Management of scope changes
  • Leadership
    • Provide project planning, guidance and advice in all aspects of Visual 7 ERP re-implementation
    • Review and sign off of all major deliverables for the project

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in project management of ERP implementation within a manufacturing environment, preferably Visual 7 re-implementation
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, SQL
  • Strong knowledge of business process best practices and methodologies
  • Experience of managing cross-functional project teams to drive process improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods
  • Practical knowledge using Microsoft Project or other project management tools
  • Ability to communicate, track and document project issues and risk mitigation
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written.  Able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills
  • Ability to prepare presentations and conduct status meetings
  • Knowledge of financial management, technology management, and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of common best practice financial, accounting, and business practices
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, persuasive and motivating skills with ability to drive project team to meet ERP implementation goals and objectives

  • 6 month contract
  •  Salary: 60K per annum plus bonus potential
